Sara & Shane {4.19.14}

Sara and Shane were married on a gorgeous day in April at Twin Lakes Lodge in Hurley NY. The rustic theme they were looking for really came through in the details; the wildflower centerpieces and burlap covered votives were beautiful. Guests were invited to choose a mason jar to write their name on. These functioned as not only their personal glass for the night, but were a unique and reusable wedding favor that added another rustic touch.

Do you want a location that is unique? Are you a country bride? Do you want a location and a wedding your guests are going to rave about for years to come?

Well, I just had the pleasure of visiting a truly unique and fabulous venue right here in Red Hook, NY.

There is a little something for everyone on this site.

It starts with a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom house that can sleep up to 12 people. It also includes outside fire place, multiple bonfire pits, full industrial kitchen, patio, pool, pond, Bacchi ball, horseshoe pit and even a tennis court.

Check out the link below for lots of great pictures.

Crazy Guest Books

Many couples think “I don’t want a guest book no one ever looks at it after the wedding. It’s just a waste of time.”

Why not have a guest book that you can enjoy through out your marriage.

puzzle piecesHave guests sign puzzle pieces. You and your fiance can then assemble after the honeymoon; while you read all the nice notes; and then you can turn it into cool wall art.

engagement book

Have your photographer make a book of your engagement photos that guests can sign. It can then serve as a great coffee table book for years to come.

Typewritter

Have your guests type you notes on an old type writer you can then turn into a fabulous old time book or even some wall art.

guest book 4

Guests can write advice or words of wisdom in different categories and then when the time comes you can pull them out. Its the guest book that keeps on giving.

quilt

This one takes a little work. Guests sign pre-cut squares and after the wedding have a family member or a professional sew these pieces together.  You now have a guest book that can keep you warm!

Rocks

Now these may get weathered a little but its still fun. Have guests sign rocks and then use them in your garden.

J&B8

Guests can take pictures of themselves and write notes on the bottom. You can then assemble them into a great coffee table book.
